In class, we were assigned to create a zine on a topic related to our community. I decided to take a different approach by involving my friends in the process. I asked 10 of them to share a cultural recipe, which I then compiled into a picnic-themed zine. The result was a 10-page, double-sided zine that celebrated the diverse cultures and foods within my community. Each page featured a different recipe, with hand-drawn food illustrations created in Procreate to make the zine more playful and personalized. I also included photos to give the zine a personal touch, as if people were sharing their recipes and stories directly. For this project, I primarily used InDesign, with some Photoshop work to enhance image quality.
