For this class, we were assigned to make an editorial feature layout of a magazine, as well as a cover, table of contents and a subscription following industry standard magazine layouts and rules. I went in the direction of a fashion magazine, and wanted the theme to be fur. I found an article online that matched the aesthetic and over all theme of the magazine, that allowed me to create a cohesive and strong design.  With this project I worked a lot with text and the different guidelines that magazines have to follow. Through this project I learned about text hierarchy, spacing, alignment and much more that helped me develop my design skills Additionally to the feature we were to create a cover and table of contents that aligned to our feature and followed the same theme.
"This layout is a mockup and the original text was used with permission of the author. Why vintage furs should be your go-to instead of new faux by Kristina Urquhart was originally published in The Vintage Seeker on Jan. 29, 2024."
